You have seen the tag lines. You have seen the social media posts. You have seen Christie Brinkley thrive at 66 looking 20 years younger. So, what is all the hype around Ultherapy? Ultherapy is a non-invasive treatment that lifts and tightens loose skin and wrinkles on areas such as the face, neck and chest. But how?

1: First and foremost, Ultherapy is a top FDA approved procedure for lifting and tightening of the skin on the face, neck, brows and chest areas.

2: Ultherapy uses ultrasound technology which means it is doing the work from the inside out versus a laser which will work from the outside in. This technology penetrates the deepest layers of skin tissues without leaving any scars.

3: By working at these deep layers, Ultherapy stimulates your body’s own natural healing process to deliver amazing results. Around the age of 25, our body’s own natural production of collagen begins to decrease gradually. Post-menopausal women will see an increasing decline in collagen production also. Collagen is a vital role in our skin’s elasticity and strength. Ultherapy stimulates new collagen production which results in lifting and tightening effect.

4: There is no downtime, no recovery & no anesthesia. The procedure is simple and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the areas being treated. Some patients get a bit anxious with any procedure & therefore we ask each patient to take 800mg of Ibuprofen. After your treatment, you will be fine to drive and resume your normal activities as you wish with no restrictions.

The results from an Ultherapy treatment are a natural and gradual process. Some patients will begin noticing results in as little as 30 days, especially in short areas such as brows and around the lips. Optimal results will appear within 2-3 months up to 6 months depending on the laicity of the skin. Some patients do experience short term mild side effects from the treatment such as bruising and swelling. While these are very rare, we still take time during your consultation to go over all the information so you can make an informed decision.

So, is Ultherapy for you? Maybe. Since the cost of an Ultherapy treatment varies so much, we offer free consultations for Ultherapy that will help us develop a personalized plan that targets your areas of concern and gives you the best possible outcome. Is this a replacement for a surgical facelift or similar procedure? No. Ultherapy is more for that in between stage where the patient does not really need surgery yet but could use a little touch up. If you are interested in Ultherapy, we urge you to call our office to schedule your consultation today.
